Shipping, returns, warranty & privacy

Every Ultimate Joystick is built and tested to order by a small shop. These are the terms that come with it. Questions: support@ultimatejoystick.com.

Shipping

  • Built to order. Each system is assembled, calibrated and run through the gate tests before it ships. Allow 5 to 10 business days before dispatch; you get an e-mail with tracking the day it leaves.
  • Carrier. USPS or UPS ground within the United States. International orders: e-mail first so we can quote the carrier and any duties, which are the buyer's responsibility.
  • Packaging. The joystick ships assembled with the restrictor plates in the released (circle) position and the servo harness coiled. Keep the box for the first 30 days.

Returns

  • 30 days, no questions. Return the complete system within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. Return shipping is paid by the buyer unless the unit arrived damaged or defective.
  • Condition. Normal installation marks are fine. Units that were modified, re-flashed with other firmware, or physically damaged are refunded minus the cost of the affected parts.
  • How. E-mail support@ultimatejoystick.com with your order number. You get a return address and a reply within two business days. Refunds go back to the original payment method within five business days of receipt.

Warranty

  • One year, parts and labour. The control board, servos, harness and restrictor assembly are covered for twelve months from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship.
  • Servos are wear parts. A servo that fails inside the first year is replaced free. After that, replacement sets are sold on the order page and the swap takes minutes (video 10).
  • Not covered. Water, drops, reversed power, other firmware, or a joystick used outside a cabinet panel. Software updates are free for the life of the product.

Privacy & payments

  • Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout page and never touch this website or our servers.
  • What we keep. Your name, shipping address, e-mail and order history, only to build, ship and support your order. We do not sell or share it, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
  • The app. The Ultimate Joystick control software runs entirely on your PC. It does not send usage data anywhere.

Terms you should know

  • No ROMs are included. Ultimate Joystick ships the game-to-gate mapping and the control software only. You use MAME ROM files you are legally entitled to.
  • Requirements. A Windows PC running MAME and one free USB port. Linux and Raspberry Pi are not supported today.
  • Trademarks. MAME, LaunchBox, HyperSpin and all game titles belong to their owners and are named only to describe compatibility. Ultimate Joystick is not affiliated with them.
  • Changes. These policies may be updated; the version on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.
